Scientists claim to have found the "slut gene"

Are you or someone you love the type who sleeps around a lot? Well, good news, scientists think they know why. A SUNY-Binghamton researcher claims he’s pinpointed the gene that makes people more promiscuous.Hooray for science!
According to a new study by researcher Justin Garcia, a variant of the DRD4 gene is responsible for people’s tendency to sleep around in uncommitted situations.
Garcia said, “The motivation seems to stem from a system of pleasure and reward, which is where the release of dopamine comes in. In cases of uncommitted sex, the risks are high, the rewards substantial and the motivation variable — all elements that ensure a dopamine ‘rush.’”
